New technology is available for scanning Dense Breast Tissue – Contrast-Enhanced Mammography. Contrast-Enhanced Mammography (CEM) has emerged as a viable alternative to contrast-enhanced breast MRI, and it may increase access to vascular imaging while reducing examination costs. CEM is a valuable tool in diagnosing and staging primary breast cancer. It uses an iodinated contrast agent with conventional mammography to enhance accuracy.
